What is an untold story? Where lays the interest about the past, the forgotten, the abandoned? An untold story is about memories, secrets that will never be told. This project focuses on the idea of nostalgia, on the sadness and melancholia on reaching an end, this reflexion was triggered by an important event of my life. In November 2010, after spending 60 years in the same home, my grand mother moved out of her house, to a small retirement flat. This move for me, felt like a closure of something, the house which had symbolized my childhood, happy memories, was no more. When I went back to the empty home, all was left were boxes filled with old papers, wardrobes full of unwanted clothes, dishes, pans and pots. The items photographed where collected from charity shops as a symbolise of a life that is no more.
