Set in 60′s Demi Moore breathes style in her pencil skirt suits, polished up to to the finger nails. She shas been casted alongside Michael Caine and plays Laura Quinn an employee of the London Diamond Corporation. While she is patiently waiting for a promotion, less qualified male colleagues snatch every opportunity she longed for. Michael Caine who plays Hobbs, a cleaning agent who works at night, watches her and uses her frustration to involve her in his plan to rob the bank. Both actors are up to scratch, I loved watching Demi casted in a grown up role, I wish we could see more of her in movies like this one. She is an amazing actress and hasnt always had the opportunity to prove her talent. Michael Caine and Demi Moore work well along together and make us truly believe in their story. I already saw this movie twice and could watch it endlessly everything feels right and makes it a great plot.

I felt completly overhelmed after seeing Broken Embraces the latest Pedro Almodovar movie. I have a been a fan since his earliest movies, All about my mother and Volver being my favorites but after viewing his latest piece, I will add Broken Embraces to my list. The story relates the life of Mateo Blanco (alias Harry Caine) a filmaker who sees his life falling to bits after a car accident on the Island of Lanzarote, where he loses his sight and the woman he loves. The film navigates through flashbacks where we encounter Lena an aspiring actress. Penelope Cruz lights the movie through her beauty, she crosses through the scenes playing Marylin, Audrey, a femme fatale, a lover. Pedro Almodovar’s stories are always tragic, taking sharp twists and turns but this is all what’s life is about. This movie is such a joy, so colourful compared to the blend junk Hollywood serves us, not only are the actors at the top of their game but the photography is absolutely beautiful.
